Beginner and Bike Set Up Clinic Tuesday May 9th - Pleasant Ridge JFA Trail
We want to help you have more fun on your bike and set the year up to ride with more confidence and skills out on the trails. The first clinic in our Spring series will make sure your bike is tuned for you by checking suspension, reviewing air pressures or figuring out proper pressures, rebound and, if necessary, compression. We will then get on the bikes and focus on body position, line choice, and learning to anticipate shifting up and down based on the terrain. We will learn to find efficient gears and cadence to help us save energy and ride longer. We will learn to control our speed slowing down without skidding and understanding the difference in the power of the front brake from the rear brake and when to take advantage on the trail with selective braking. Riders will develop skills for trail scanning and understanding when to start braking for turns, techy terrain, and flowy trails. Most of all you will be have coaches trained with the Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association. Our focus will be learning in a fun environment where the goal is to take our new bike skills to the trails!
This clinic will be held at the JFA trail at Pleasant Ridge County Park Tuesday May 9th at 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Details on meeting spot will be sent after purchase.
